Kestrel Gallery
July, 2006. At a home at 744 Moultrie Street, San Francisco. It's in the Bernal Heights
neighborhood in the southeastern part of the city. Kestrel are frequently seen hunting over the steep,
grassy slopes of nerarby Bernal Hill Park. The first four photos were taken from his neighboring home by
Lawrence Rhodes; the fifth was taken by Jim Herd.
Lawrence Rhodes says:
"Seems three fledglings are in the nest still. I got the idea to use a
mirror to get a little more light on the subjects in certain shots. The
best time for photography will be in the morning light. The ledge is east
facing. "
